Legends of the Awakened

     Some of my fondest  memories involve playing RPGs like Final Fantasy II and ChronoTrigger on ye olde SNES when I was a kid. I've long dreamed of making my own RPG, and I've decided to give it a go! Wish me luck, and, if you're so inclined, download the project and share with me your thoughts. Thanks, and happy gaming!

About the game:

     Legends of the Awakened is a turn-based RPG that aims to capture the spirit of the JRPGs of the 80s and 90s. 

     The story takes place in a world where the undead are not mindless creatures at war with the living. To the contrary, those brought back from the dead retain their memories and humanity, and coexist with the living. You experience the story through the eyes of Saul, a long-dead, ancient king who has recently been resurrected and tasked with taking down a powerful orc warlord.

     Throughout your journey you will acquire new friends, powerful abilities, and fantastic items.

Current State:  Early Alpha

     I've put together the major systems that make up the game and created a vertical slice of what I'm trying to build. I'm not worried about balance at this point because encounters, abilities, items, skill-trees, etc. are still being fleshed out. That said, the current content should give you a solid grasp of what I'm aiming for.
